Missouri Office of Athletics Executive Director Tim Lueckenhoff recently circulated a memo notifying industry stakeholders of increased fees for combat sports events (HT to Carla Duran and Journey Pro KC).
Event permits for many disciplines increased. Second and amatauer contestant licence fees did as well. Lueckendoff noted these increases are only the second in the past 27 years are needed to keep the fee funded office on a solid foundation.
Perhaps most controversially, however, the changes also include a $1 surcharge for all complimentary tickets. So if a promoter lets someone into a venue free of charge the government will still levy a fee on those individuals.
