Time Served! UK Anti Doping Hit Tyson Fury With Two Year Retroactive Ban Ending Tonight

Today Tyson Fury learned his fate from allegations of a 2015 anti-doping violation.  Time served.

Fury tested positive for presence of elevated levels of nandrolone metabolites in urine samples provided following his February 2015 victory against Christian Hammer.

Charges were not brought until June 2016 by which time Fury has already competed again.

UK Anti Doping and Fury reached a deal, which is also reportedly being honoured by the British Boxing Board of  Control handing Fury a 2 year ban from the sport backdated to December 13, 2015 and expiring at midnight on 12 December 2017 .  Fury is retroactively disqualified from his victory against Hammer.  His subsequent victory against Wladimir Klitschko is left intact.
